Delay Repay

You can claim a refund on your Greater Anglia ticket if there are delays to your journey. Compensation is given according to the length of the delay, as follows:

15 to 29 minutes - 25% of the cost of your single ticket or 12.5% of the cost of your return ticket
30 to 59 minutes - 50% of the cost of your single ticket or 25% of the cost of your return ticket
60 to 119 minutes -
100% of the cost of your single ticket or 50% of the cost of your return ticket

Greater Anglia upgrades services with new, faster Bombardier trains!

Greater Anglia is in the process of launching a brand new fleet of 133 bombardier trains, which can run at a max speed of 100mph on the rail network. They have reached top speeds of 110mph during testing.

With enhanced braking, acceleration, and less sway the trains will be able to operate at near to max speed for more of their journey. Every single train on the network will be replaced, with the first installed in December 2020. Other improvements on the new, state of the art trains include underfloor heating, WiFi, USB charging and better information systems.
