Gatwick Airport to London Train Tickets

If you are flying into Gatwick when you take your trip to the UK, it is well worth taking the Gatwick to London train. Regular services run to two stations without the need to change trains, these being London Victoria Station, with services operated by the Express service, and London Bridge, with services operated by Thameslink. From Victoria, you can easily reach any landmark you might want to visit; if you want to journey to Westminster, it will take just two minutes on the Circle Line or District Line. If you are traveling by rail, you don't necessarily have to buy tickets in advance. You can simply tap your payment or oyster card to pay and get through the ticket barriers to your train. To cut costs when you book trains to London, we recommend traveling at off-peak times and booking as early as possible to benefit from an advance fare.

Gatwick Station is situated on the route of the Brighton Main Line, meaning regular trains are stopping here. The Station is located just 70 meters east of the Airport's South Terminal, meaning you can quickly take your rail service after completing your journey to the UK by plane. If your flight lands at the North Terminal, you can easily reach your train using the Shuttle. The Station has seven platforms, with Southern, Thameslink, and Great Western Railway, some of the operators running from here. If you are traveling to or from London, your train will depart from or arrive at Platforms 1, 2, 4, and 5.

When you land, there might be other destinations you would like to visit, as well as London. You can reach some beautiful cities by train from Gatwick, including Brighton, Cambridge, and Peterborough. If you would prefer to head to London first, you can then easily reach any destination you might want to visit in the UK.

Gatwick Express

Two trains run per hour on this service from Monday - Saturday between Victoria and Brighton, with stops at the Airport and Haywards Heath en route. On Sundays, these trains only run between Victoria and the Airport. Since January 2016, Oyster Cards and contactless cards have been accepted for travel on this service.

Southern

Southern runs six trains per hour from Gatwick Monday - Saturday, with services between Victoria and Brighton running every half hour on Sundays.
