Notes. Our customers are price sensitive and skew to the long distance journeys where splitting pays, so the trends are reliable but the levels describe our customers rather than rail passengers in general. A split means a cheaper combination of tickets was available for the journey and bought. Through fare means the price of a single ticket for the whole journey. 2026 figures run to 10 September.
