Manchester Victoria Station is in Manchester City Centre, just a 20-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly. The main entrances to Manchester Victoria Station are located at the front of the station building on Victoria Station Approach, with one near the ticket office and another further North. There is also access between the Station and the AO Manchester Arena. You can visit numerous attractions near Manchester Victoria Station, including the National Football Museum, Manchester Cathedral, and the Printworks.

The Station is the UK's 57th busiest National Rail Station, with 7.7 million entries and exits in 2023-24 and 875,000 interchanges. Many of these passengers are taking trains to Manchester from cities across the North of England and beyond. In the entrance is a large, white-glazed tiled map showing the former network of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway.

The Station was opened in 1844. Northern Trains manages the train station and is one of the operators that runs National Rail Services to the Station, along with TransPennine Express.
