Stansted Express Trains

The Stansted Express links Central London to Stansted Airport; it is owned by Greater Anglia, who operate the East Anglia franchise. There are 40 Stansted Express trains in total, which reach top speeds of 100mph. Trains take from 47 to 56 minutes to reach Central London from Stansted and run every 15 minutes.

While the Gatwick Express and Heathrow Express do not stop at intermittent stations, the Stansted Express also calls at Tottenham Hale, Bishop's Stortford, Harlow Town, and Stansted Mountfitchet. There are plans for the Stansted Express to call at Stratford Station on the West Anglia Main Line.

Should your Stansted Express journey be delayed for any reason, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund as follows:

15 to 29 minutes: 25% of the cost of your single ticket or 12.5% of the cost of your return ticket

30 to 59 minutes: 50% of the cost of your single ticket or 25% of the cost of your return ticket

60 to 119 minutes:
100% of the cost of your single ticket or 50% of the cost of your return ticket

120 minutes or longer: 100% of the cost of your ticket, whether single or return
