Gatwick Express Trains

Gatwick Express trains are operated by Govia Thameslink Railway as part of the Thameslink, Southern and Great Northern franchise. Regular services run between London Victoria station to Gatwick Airport. British Rail started operating the service in 1984.

The Gatwick Express has temporarily suspended all trains. Southern and Thameslink are still operating services to the Airport from London and Brighton.

London Victoria

The Gatwick Express travels to the Airport from this station. It is easy to reach London Victoria by tube on the Victoria, District, and Circle lines. Once you arrive via Underground, follow signs to reach the overground station.

Get the train to the Airport from platform 13 or 14. Make sure to check the departure screens.


Gatwick Airport

The station is in the South Terminal of Gatwick Airport, a short walk from arrivals and departures. You can reach it easily from the North Terminal; there is a shuttle that takes just two minutes and runs throughout the day.

Peak time services - Times when you can't carry non-folding bikes - are on trains:

Due to arrive at London Victoria between 07:00 and 10:00 Monday to Friday

Due to leave London Victoria between 16:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday

On weekends and bank holidays; bikes are welcome on all trains, at any time.

Service Disruptions

Make sure to leave plenty of time when taking the Gatwick Express, to avoid missing your flight. Engineering works, or bad weather may disrupt services.
